Bio
Gina Borg is a painter who lives and works in Oakland, California. Her work has been shown in solo exhibits at Jancar Gallery in Los Angeles, Jancar Jones Gallery in San Francisco, K. Imperial Fine Art in San Francisco, and Ohlone College in Fremont, CA. She has been included in many group exhibitions including De-Mobbing; Landscape, Structure, Bioform at Headlands Center for the Arts, Afterglow, first shown at Notre Dame de Namur University then several other universities around the state, Welcome To My World, at NIAD Art Center in Richmond, Ca, Art/Act: Local- Natural Harmony, at the David Brower Center, Berkeley, CA, and Sense of Place, at Park Place Gallery, Brooklyn, NY . Her work is included in the collection of the Alameda County Arts Commission, UCSF, and numerous private collections. In addition to her painting practice, Gina Borg also produces a podcast of artist interviews called “Art Talks Again”, and has created a community printmaking shop at which she gives weekly workshops on the technique of stone lithography. Born in 1973 in Sacramento, California, Borg attended the MFA program in painting at Boston University and received her BA in Fine Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
